Gitea

Gitea is an open source app developed with Go that allows you to host your own Git repository. This Git repository self-management software was born as a fork of Gogs. Since its conception, it has become a very popular alternative to GitHub.

Gitea is very lightweight, so it can run even on systems with low-power hardware. The Windows version runs right out of the box, so you don't have to worry about mounting a Docker container. There's also integrated support for the most popular database management systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.

As with other Git platforms, Gitea has a system for managing a project's bugs, as well as the ability to contribute to the code or make a pull request. You can also automate tests and deployments. With Gitea, it's also possible to manage each user's roles and permissions. For example, you can differentiate between members of your team and outside collaborators, thereby granting total access only to those who are authorized to make critical changes.
